About the role
We’re looking for a motivated, entry-level mechanic to join our friendly team at our professional bike workshop located in the car park of Horfield Prison.
You’ll work closely with our experienced mechanics and a team of friendly volunteers on a variety of tasks including:
- Handling basic repairs like puncture fixes for walk-in customers.
- Completing pre-delivery inspections on sold bikes.
- Providing friendly customer service for those looking to buy a refurbished bike or book a repair.
- Carrying out bike checks on refurbished bikes from our prison training workshop.
- Dismantling donated bikes for parts and determining whether they should be sold or scrapped.
You’ll be working together to refurbish and sell bikes donated by the public. Find out more about our Bikes Beyond Bars project.
